Born at 8:08 am weighing in at a little over 6 lbs, Eli was born with a bang - crying so loud that the nurses and doctors said "this kid is going to be something else!"  HE SURE IS!   Now at 11, we have yet another adventurous experience for his birthday!  Aquatica Orlando! Arriving before the 9 am opening of the park we were able to secure a sweet spot right next to the one attraction Eli wanted to ride ALL. DAY. LONG!   There were so many choices of slides all around the park.  As you can see, it wasn't too crowded first thing in the morning (and Eli's birthday was on a weekday which makes a huge difference).  Once we slathered on the sunscreen we proceeded to go on some very fun rides and races.  Tip: Put enough sunscreen on so that there is no doubt you will be protected!  ha ha  We put the phones away all day so I don't have tons of pics or videos.  Up until around 11am there were no lines....

I can't even begin to explain how random life can be.  But this picture should pretty much explain it all!  Talk about a lucky find!   While I was getting a little girl time with my friend, Jen, Scott drove the boys to the airport where there was an event going on.  This even included FREE flying around the island!  Eli got to sit in the front seat AND FLY THE PLANE!! How fun to be able to fly around the island.  You could see everything, the people, the pools, the historic fort.  It was super cool.   Both Eli and Enzo got to log their flying hours and each got a certificate for the day! What a day!   Well, in all honesty, we have a lot of great days!  We try and make it to the beach as much as possible. On days when the beach isn't something we want to do, we then hop into the pool at our complex!   Still, there is so much to do around here, like cheer on our family friends at a local...

Well, I forgot to mention that Scott was part of the firefighter challenge with the firefighters from the United States Air Force Academy at the tail end of his career.  Together with his fellow firefighters they competed in an over 40 Relay in 2020 and WON!   Scott wants to make sure it's clear that his legendary teammates did all the work and that he was simply riding their coattails with the honor of running the baton through the delineator section. The cool part was that Scott was talking to one of the organizers from the Firefighter Challenge event this year and she realized that he had never received his personalized World Champion ring!  After almost 4 years, she was finally able to give Scott his ring.  She'd been carrying it around in her RV for so long!...
