Born at 8:08 am weighing in at a little over 6 lbs, Eli was born with a bang - crying so loud that the nurses and doctors said "this kid is going to be something else!" HE SURE IS!
Now at 11, we have yet another adventurous experience for his birthday! Aquatica Orlando!Arriving before the 9 am opening of the park we were able to secure a sweet spot right next to the one attraction Eli wanted to ride ALL. DAY. LONG!
There were so many choices of slides all around the park. As you can see, it wasn't too crowded first thing in the morning (and Eli's birthday was on a weekday which makes a huge difference).
Once we slathered on the sunscreen we proceeded to go on some very fun rides and races. Tip: Put enough sunscreen on so that there is no doubt you will be protected! ha ha

We put the phones away all day so I don't have tons of pics or videos.
Up until around 11am there were no lines. Even with lines we were on the slides until a typical afternoon storm rolled in. Because the park paused rides for about an hour, a lot of people left. We had shelter, ate food and made new friends.
Once the "all clear" was given, Eli raced with our new friends over and over! No waiting in line and just lots of fun!Once we got back to our room, we all cleaned up and got ready for bed knowing we would be heading outside, past our bedtime, to watch the fireworks at 9pm!
The fireworks did not disappoint! They were bright, loud and beautiful! It's so cool that all 4 of us can just hang out and enjoy the show!
Did you know that if you stay at the TownPlace Suites Orlando across the street from SeaWorld, you can watch the fireworks from the large outdoor courtyard in between TownPlace Suites and SpringHill Suites? It's definitely a good compromise to having to go back into the park and fight the crowds - not to mention we can head right back in the hotel and get to sleep. Even though we gift the gift of experiences for birthdays, anniversaries and Christmas, we can't resist at least one gift for Eli to unwrap. Nerf War anyone? After returning from our trip to Aquatica, Eli got invited to watch an ice hockey practice with his good friends and then go climbing next door.
It had been a heck of a week celebrating Eli's birthday. To end the week with a chance to climb with friends was the cherry on top of the birthday cake!Happy 11th birthday to a gift we will always treasure. We can't wait to see what the years ahead bring! 😎
