Myringotomy - what?!

Click here to subscribe and keep updated Forever grateful to everyone who works on Wolfson 5, we always try to go up to visit and say hello.  It's so fun to see everyone gather around Enzo.  They absolutely love him and he loves them!  Of course, he also wants to play with them too! Hide and seek anyone?  Enzo will count and everyone is supposed to hide. Not today....we were running out of time and had to get Enzo ready for his 3rd surgery of the year! Yes, his 3rd surgery was essential due to pain in the ears caused by changes in air pressure (like when we were descending in an airplane).  Oh how my heart ached when Enzo would scream "OW! OW!" And yes, he actually would say "EAR!"  It was a bittersweet moment to have Enzo finally tell us what was hurting but it also was sad that he hurt so much.  In addition to the changes in air pressure, the ENT said Enzo has had fluid that would not drain from the middle ear. In fact, it had been there for qu...

Click here to keep updated (and check your junk/spam folder) I think I sound like a broken record as I keep saying life has been a whirlwind since returning to the states.  We've been in and out of the hospital since returning.  Doctor appointments, ER trips, and more.   I know I probably shouldn't do this, but I think of our travels in 2023 and how we just didn't have all that drama.  Enzo was doing well, thriving, in fact! We all were thriving.  Why are things so different in the states? While traveling we only had 2 small issues: Eli had an abcess that had to be cleaned out, and Scott got an ear infection from all the time in the ocean, pools and lakes we enjoyed.  Boy are things different right now, here in the states. So what do we do?  We try our best to move forward, to continue on.  Once settled in, we returned to our gym.  The best part is that Eli is now old enough (and mature enough) to enjoy the amenities of the gym.  Sc...

A Magical Birthday!

I don't know why but every time I was asked what I wanted to do for my birthday, I just came back to the idea of heading to Epcot.  (This was probably influenced by our two other trips to Orlando when we celebrated Enzo's birthday at SeaWorld and Eli's birthday at Aquatica.). Walt Disney World knows how to market their products!!  Ha ha! Naturally when we asked Nonna if she wanted to join us, she said YES!   Our drive to Orlando was great...until it wasn't!  After all, we were smack dab in the middle of hurricane season and the typical summer afternoon thunderstorms could really wreak havoc on the roads - as seen by all the vehicles we saw in ditches when we finished surviving the 2-3 minute downpours that affected visibility.  Fortunately it looked like no-one was hurt as we passed, and we w...
