Never a dull moment!

I think I sound like a broken record as I keep saying life has been a whirlwind since returning to the states.  We've been in and out of the hospital since returning.  Doctor appointments, ER trips, and more.

I know I probably shouldn't do this, but I think of our travels in 2023 and how we just didn't have all that drama.  Enzo was doing well, thriving, in fact! We all were thriving.  Why are things so different in the states?
While traveling we only had 2 small issues: Eli had an abcess that had to be cleaned out, and Scott got an ear infection from all the time in the ocean, pools and lakes we enjoyed.  Boy are things different right now, here in the states.
So what do we do?  We try our best to move forward, to continue on.  Once settled in, we returned to our gym.  The best part is that Eli is now old enough (and mature enough) to enjoy the amenities of the gym.  Scott takes Eli to the gym most mornings for Papa and Eli workout times.  It's a great father/son bonding time.

It's also fun when you win a fun little challenge.  Check out what the prizes we got.
It's been nice to come back to a place where we have friends that are more like family, to be able to play games when we are indoors, or go to the beach or pool with them.
Even with all the medical issues, Enzo still wants to go to the beach or pool.  It's where he thrives, it's where he is free to roam, run, jump or play - or do all at the same time!

We all enjoy being outside.  It's where we belong and do our best.

And who doesn't love the smell of the salty ocean air or the feel of the cool breeze that comes off the ocean?
Still, there are times where we have to improvise, adapt and overcome.  There are always going to be challenges in life, regardless if you have a child with special needs.  It just becomes part of your life, you have to navigate these challenges....and so when Enzo doesn't feel like walking anymore, we continue on as best as possible.  So, yes, I will keep my gym membership up especially for days like these ha ha ha.
What better way to show resilience than to continue living for a living!  Even though we aren't Olympic athletes, we do our best to live our best life with each other.

How cool to live in this small town and be a part of the celebration of skateboarding champ Poe Pinson and her achievements at the Olympics!

Displays of patriotic red, white and blue colors brightened the atmosphere.  Our tiny town came out with an enormous showing of patriotism and pride for our Olympic neighbor.  Hallmark movies are filled with scenes like this, right?  Think warm and fuzzy feelings that bring you back to the days of old when life was so simple.
Eli has a lot of time with Papa so it's nice to have a meal with him.  He's such a good companion!

Nothing motivates Eli more than this kiddo next to him who is just as fast and strong.  They inspire each other to do well and they have fun doing it!  Together they come up with a workout (usually a workout from the gym program during the week).  It makes me so happy to see the next generation going out on their own and making their lives better!

You know what else is fun?  Classic Fun?  Roller skating!  Yes!  So fun.  Even Enzo gets to enjoy a good time.  But hey, let's be serious, it's like another workout.  Ha ha.  Fortunately, roller skating is undeniably enjoyable and there was no doubt we had so much fun!

If you guys have never seen Scott roller skate, come out with us sometime.  Once those quads are on his feet, his mindset is back in the 1980's and he's just doing those crazy and cool classic moves that I can only dream about.
Whoa, roller skating is truly exhausting.  😂😂

We're getting used to the doctor visits, the follow-ups, and more.  It's always been a part of our lives and I don't see it ending. So how do we adjust?  We make the best of it.  On the way home we have fun trying out new places and Billy Jack's didn't disappoint.
Like I said, we improvise, adapt and overcome.  There's never a dull moment so let's enjoy each moment, right?  Until the next moment!
