Best Waterpark in the World! Siam Park!

With all the advertisements and billboards posted all over the island of Tenerife, you can't help but be attracted to Siam Park, one of the world's best waterparks!  We just had to go check it out for ourselves...after all, everyone and I mean everyone says it's a must see while on Tenerife.

Naturally since we came at the height of summer season we knew to wait until the end of summer.  And for good reason!  Let's just start with the fact that the water is heated!  25°C is what I want!
When you first enter the park the sea lions are freely swimming around welcoming you into their playground.  No, there is no show, they just swim and have fun and we can watch them either overhead or through the large glass window fence.

Full disclosure - WE WENT TWICE!  I'll explain after I explain what a great time we had!  Just look at how clear the water is!  The place is huge!
We went to both the kiddie wave pool and the adult wave pool.  However, we arrived at the adult wave pool during a mandatory break they have at the top of the hour.

The 20 minute break is nice and you feel like you're at a beach and a pool all at the same time.  However, none of us wanted to stay.  We wanted to move on.

By the time we got back to our stuff, the kiddie wave pool was on and that was so much fun!  Enzo just loves the wave action going back and forth.

Eli insisted on becoming completed submerged anytime a little wave came back.  He says he is training to be a Navy SEAL.
Eli would lie on his back and start doing flutter kicks while the waves washed over his face.  Enzo would just laugh as Eli continued his "training."  Papa got a moment to just relax and soak it all in.

Rope fences, water spritzers and tons of shade kept us nice and cool.  Enzo was entertained with all the people watching.  It was fun to stand on a bridge and watch people in their tubes sliding down the slides.
How my heart leaped when I saw Scott bring Enzo up to the slides.  I tried to have Enzo be my partner.  "NO!" Enzo yelled.  Everyone around giggled.  He then grabbed Papa's hand and said, "I go Papa!"  That was that!
Not to worry, I had a great partner and Eli loved having me as his partner the whole day!  It was great since Eli was still in training mode and would pretend the raft was one of those rubber boats the seals have to carry over their heads.  Every now and then Eli returned to Earth and was a kid bouncing the raft off his head, me and goofing off.  The line wasn't long but you know when you're ten years old, ten minutes feels like an hour!

Now you see why we went TWICE!  So we went on the 21st of September and then the 28th.  Both days were a Thursday.  We had hoped the crowds weren't going to be crazy on those days and we were right.  The longest we waited in line was 8 minutes.  This is great when you have a zesty 10 year old and a child with special needs who doesn't understand the purpose of waiting in line.
There is no doubt in my mind that this was possibly one of the best Brock Family days EVER!  Everyone had fun.  I was so happy, so relieved.  Relieved?  Why?

We are so used to not being able to do a lot of stuff as a family of 4.  We originally had the plan to divide and conquer.

It's our normal to divide and conquer.

For example, the original plan was to have one of us spend half a day with Eli and the other with Enzo and then swap.  BUT we didn't have to do that!!!!  The whole day was a success.  This is a WIN for the special needs family!
You want to know the best part?!?!  WE ALL HAD A BLAST!  I mean, we always have a good time but to have ALL 4 of us truly enjoy an experience is not a common everyday thing.  We ALL wanted to go on the slides, we ALL wanted to go in the wave pool or we ALL wanted to go on the Mai Tai River ride.  I mean, we were ALL in sync!
By the end of the day we were ALL tired too!  We enjoyed slowing down and watching the shark tank, people watching and even watching the Tower of Power people slide down that ridiculously high slide and ending it with a zip through the shark tank tunnel.
Okay, so if you're wondering.  It is recommended to buy tickets as a pair to both Siam Park and Loro Parque (more on that in another post).  So that's how you get your first discount.

Here's where Siam Park gets very clenver!

THEN, as you leave the park, you are invited to buy another set of tickets to come back to Siam Park within 15 days.  Oooohhhhhh, they got us and WE DID NOT REGRET it one bit!!!  So the price of the second day was 20 Euros per person.  Huge discount and we hopped on it.  How could we not do another amazing family day?!?!?!
