My original plan was to keep updates weekly.  I will do my best to keep them coming as I have come to realize that when I am a day or two behind, I have sweet friends texting and WhatsApping me with the loving phrase, "are you ok?"  I LOVE that you are checking in on us.

To answer your question, YES, we are definitely OKAY!

We've been on Amelia Island for a while now and have enjoyed catching up with our friends and making new ones.  One thing I love about the island is that it is so easy to talk to just about anyone.

For example: We met a nice couple at the picnic tables where we were having our lunch.  We were talking about the eclipse and the gentleman said he had extra glasses. he gave them to us!
Almost 2 hours later after eating our lunch and chatting with our picnic neighbors we decided to venture out into the deep blue.
Eli and Enzo didn't miss a beat and dove right into the ocean.  It's been a while since our family has gone into the ocean together.  Yes, it was a bit chilly, but totally worth it.
As far as homeschooling goes, it has its ups and downs.  I mean, who really wants to study when it's paradise every single day?  That's the downside.  Honestly I can't help but want to put down the books and head outside.
However, there is an upside, you see, the easiest way to convince each boy to complete their homeschool is the fact that there is a pool just outside our rental.

Oh and how about this!  We have sweet friends who gifted a bike to Eli.  Eli is in heaven.  He's been on the bike every morning, noon and night.  It's a dream come true for him and there is so much space to ride his bike!
The trails, the sidewalks, all of it in spring like weather is the cherry on top of the whipped cream on top of the ice cream!  We can walk to the beach, the ice cream shop and even the pizza restaurant.
One day we hung out with friends who have kiddos around the same age as Eli.  The kids dug a hole for fun.  The people next to our spot asked if they could use the hole for a bonfire.  Eli was super excited to come back later in the evening to see that a bonfire was inside the hole he helped build.
Once again, Enzo is back out and having fun.  He's gained weight, he's got plenty of energy and he is not in pain anymore!

All of us are enjoying life near the ocean.  It's a good life and we can't complain.

Don't forget to subscribe if you're interested in keeping up with my little blog.  It's not a big deal, but it is something I would like to keep doing so as not to forget the special moments that pop up in our lives.

Thanks for letting me write to you!
